KIRTAS-- A GLOBAL LEADER IN DIGITAL ARCHIVING AND BOUND-DOCUMENT SCANNING SYSTEMS
Kirtas has been at the forefront of the digital revolution since 2003. Over the past 15 years we have offered cutting-edge robotic digitization systems and imaging software. We have also gained valuable experience managing several major digitization projects. In 2006 we spearheaded Microsoft’s Live Book Search” project, whose goal was to scan works from prestigious U.S. public and university libraries.
Kirtas, Inc. creates innovative digitization equipment and software that allows for rapid, high quality digitization of a wide range of printed content. In 2004, Victor, N.Y. based Kirtas was named as a top 3 finalist in the World Technology Network’s World Technology Awards. The fledgling company had recently introduced to the world the first truly automated book scanning system– the APT BookScan 1200. Since that time, Kirtas has continued to maintain its manufacturing facilities in the Finger Lakes region of New York and now in Burlington, Ontario, Canada– offering enhancements and innovations that build upon its core offerings– quantity and quality.
